The Hardy County Board of Education honored the State Champion Moorefield Baseball Team at its regular meeting Monday, June 18.
“I am extremely proud of this team, both as a parent and as a community,”
Superintendent Sheena VanMeter said.
VanMeter’s son, Isaac, pitched the championship-winning game.
Coach Wade Armentrout thanked the community and the board for their support of the team. “It’s fitting that Mrs. VanMeter earned her first championship ring her first year as superintendent,” he said.
Armentrout thanked the parents of the players.
