NOTICE TO SELL A HOUSE OWNED BY THE ST. PETER LUTHERAN CHURCH

TO: The Members of the St. Peter Lutheran Church
In compliance with West Virginia Code Chapter 35, Article 1, Section 10, as Amended, you are given notice of the proposed sale of a house owned by the St. Peter Lutheran Church located at 55 West Main Street, Wardensville, Hardy County, West Virginia. The real estate is identified for tax assessment purposes in the Hardy County Assessor’s Office in Capon Corporate District on Tax Map 1, as Parcel 0088. Acting in furtherance of prior direction given by the Congregation, the Trustees proceeded to list the property for sale and after passage of time, have found a buyer willing to pay $72,000.00 for said property. The Trustees believe the proposed sale is in the best interest of the Church and should be authorized by a majority of the Congregation so that it consummate the real estate transaction with the Purchaser and make, execute and deliver a good and sufficient Deed that conveys the property to the Purchaser upon her cash payment at closing in the amount of $72,000.00. Notice is given of the proposed sale of the property. The Chairman of the Trustees has caused a written ballot form to be sent to each member of the Congregation with a self- addressed, stamped envelope. Each member should vote the ballot yes – to authorize the sale, or no – if you oppose the sale, and submit it to the Chairman in the enclosed self-addressed, stamped envelope. Upon the vote of a majority of the Congregation in the affirmative, the Chairman of the Trustees will prepare an Affidavit confirming that a Class II publication was duly made in the Moorefield Examiner, a weekly newspaper of countywide publication in Hardy County, and swearing or affirming that after notice of publication, a majority of the Congregation authorized the consummation of the sale of said real estate. You must mail your vote to Chairman of the Trustees, Winfred Tharp, at his address of 2715 Trout Run Road, Wardensville, West Virginia 26851, and same should be postmarked on or before the 15th day of July, 2020, a period of more than fourteen (14) days from first publication. The real estate can only be sold upon a vote authorizing the sale by a majority of the Congregation.
