CVS Robbery Suspects Indicted

It has been more than a year since a suspect entered the CVS Pharmacy in Moorefield with a handgun, ordered the pharmacist to open the safe and stole drugs and money. Through an extensive investigation by Moorefield Police Detective Steve Reckart, two suspects were identified, located and charged. Last week, they were indicted in Hardy County Circuit Court.

Donna L. Wilfong, 47, of Elkins and Brandin F. Carr, 32, of Harmon were each indicted on one count of first degree burglary, one count of aiding and abetting a first degree burglary and one count of conspiracy.

According to court documents, Wilfong, dressed in a black wig and overalls, allegedly entered the CVS in the Hawse Plaza Shopping Center, pointed a gun at employees and ordered the pharmacist to open the drug safe. In addition, Wilfong allegedly stole $400 in cash from the cash registers.

The robber entered an awaiting vehicle and fled the scene.
