DOH Says Property Owner Responsible for Landslide

By Jean A. Flanagan

Moorefield Examiner

The West Virginia Division of Highways will serve South Fork Road property owner Mark Kuykendall with another Notice of Obstruction, which virtually holds him responsible for the landslide that has blocked the busy highway for weeks and continues to reduce it to one lane of through traffic.

Hardy County Circuit Judge C. Charles Carl held a status hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 11 on Kuykendall’s petition for declaratory judgement and injunctive relief.
