Glenville State College announced in December it was cutting its tuition by 2 percent with the condition that their state appropriation would not decrease.
In August, Glenville was the only 4-year college or university in West Virginia to hold the line on tuition. The school also announced plans to cut tuition for summer school next year by an unprecedented 25 percent.
Looks to us that Glenville may be the only higher education facility in the state to be concerned about their students. When the announcement was made the school’s president said they wanted to make college affordable again.
