Michael and Bethany Thomas are prime examples of entrepreneurs. “We tried four or five things and failed and we just kept trying until we found something that works,” Michael said.
The Thomases, owners of Oak Summit, are the Hardy County Chamber of Commerce 2020 Entrepreneurs of the Year.
When Michael graduated from Moorefield High School in 2013, he wanted to be a teacher. So he went to West Virginia University Potomac State and majored in biology and education. “Towards the end of my student teaching, I decided this is not what I wanted to do,” he said.
