Moorefield Volleyball swept the Vikings remnants out of the Hive after defeating Class AA Petersburg in straight sets to claim the second consecutive win to commence the year this past Tuesday: 25-12, 25-16 and 25-20.
“There was a lot of progression from Keyser to today and we like that. To play it in three. You saw it in game two, we lacked a few things. We get up, then let them come back and get up again as that cycle continued. There was a lack of consistency and every player on the bench took part in it. It definitely was a team effort for everybody and you find a positive for each one of them to work on now. Every game and every practice we are finding something we can better ourselves on for the season,” Moorefield coach Morgan See remarked.
An attack by Petersburg’s Kimberly Minnich was redirected into the net by the Yellow Jackets for the first point of the match.
Moorefield’s Remington Hinkle made block and it was saved by Petersburg’s Chassitty Stump.
