Schetrom Elected County Commissioner, Dawson Elected Sheriff in General Election

From the tabulation of early and absentee votes to the final count, Steven Schetrom and Steven Dawson led in their respective races for Hardy County Commissioner and Hardy County Sheriff. 

Schetrom handily beat Greg Greenwalt with nearly 72 percent of the vote. The unofficial count was Schetrom 4,420, Greenwalt 1,732.

The Sheriff’s race was closer with Dawson winning by less than 600 votes. Unofficially, Dawson received 3,391 votes, while Democrat Alicia Sanders received 2,801 votes.

Prosecuting Attorney Lucas See, Assessor Jim Wratchford and Surveyor David Jopling ran uncontested.
