Second Arrest Made in 2019 CVS Robbery

Brandin Carr, 32, of Elkins, was arrested in Princeton on Tuesday, May 19, in connection with the armed robbery of the Moorefield CVS Pharmacy. 

On Aug. 17, 2019, a suspect entered the CVS store in Moorefield and took a large quantity of prescription drugs and $400 in cash at gunpoint.

The suspect then entered an awaiting vehicle occupied by an unknown driver and fled the scene.

Members of the Moorefield Police Department and the Hardy County Sheriff’s Department responded, but attempts to locate the vehicle or the suspects was futile.

MPD began an exhaustive investigation and with the assistance of [private]the Potomac Highlands and Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the West Virginia State Police, Hardy County Sheriff’s Department, Randolph County Department of Probation and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department an initial arrest was made.

On May 1, Donna L. Wilfong, 46, of Elkins was arrested and charged with first degree robbery.
