A delegation from Moorefield High School and East Hardy High School presented their idea for a food trailer to the Assistant Superintendent for Career and Technical Education in Charleston on Thursday, Nov. 19. They were awarded a grant of $26,621 for their efforts.
The trailer “Rollin’ On the South Branch” will feature a limited menu of traditional Appalachian fare in roll form. Some examples are pepperoni rolls and sausage gravy biscuit rolls.
“The Moorefield and East Hardy students are amazing together,” said MHS Family and Consumer Science Instructor Mary Catherine Slack. “They have vision that is remarkable.”
