As the 2018 election season gets underway, there are a few dates to keep in mind.
If you have a desire to hold public office, there are various levels on which you can serve.
The filing period to be a candidate for public office began on Monday, Jan. 8 and ends on Saturday, Jan. 27. The County Clerk’s office can provide the needed paperwork and will also collect the filing fee. Information about filing fees can be found on the West Virginia Secretary of State’s website as well.
