(Moorefield Police Department Press Release)
On Saturday, August 17, 2019 at approximately 2:00 P.M., the Moorefield Police Department was advised of an armed robbery at the CVS in Moorefield.
Upon officers responding it was determined that an unknown male had entered the store disguised with a wig, sunglasses, bandanna over his face and wearing coveralls and displaying a handgun.
While in the store employees were directed to sit down whereupon the suspect directed the druggist to put medications in a cloth bag that he had brought with him. He also removed money from the cash register. He then fled the scene traveling in a black in color vehicle northbound on U. S. 220.
Currently the Moorefield Police Department is investigation the case. Any persons who may have witnessed a black in color vehicle parked in the Dollar General Store Parking Lot or a person matching this description during the date and time of the crime are asked to contact the Moorefield Police Department at 304-530-1777.
This investigation remains ongoing.
