For the 6th year, West Virginia Living Magazine has honored West Virginia Wonder Women. This year Hardy County native, Jennifer Ours Williams is one of them.
Williams graduated from Moorefield High School in 1984 and went on to get a Bachelors and a Masters degree from West Virginia University. She is currently the Associate Dean of programs and partnerships of the WVU Extension Service.
Williams was honored as a 2019 Wonder Woman for her work with Women in Agriculture and Annie’s Project, which encourages women in the agriculture industry and promotes networking and learning from each other.
She also works to encourage young people into the agriculture industry through 4-H activities in the WVU Extension Services and Youth Programs at the State Fair.
“I am honored and extremely humbled to be included in this prestigious group of outstanding women,” Williams said. “I credit my love of agriculture from growing up on my family’s farm in Hardy County.”
