“Fall Fishing on Trout Pond” is just one of many award winning images by local photographer Lon Anderson that will be on display starting Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Gallery Place Art Gallery in Wardensville.
Anderson has spent much of his life with a camera in hand, and his images often appear in the Examiner.
Anderson’s photography experience, in addition to his work as a photojournalist, includes having owned and operated a camera store and photo studio in suburban Maryland. He is currently a vice president of the Shenandoah Photographic Society in Winchester and a member of the Photo Committee of the National Press Club.
A reception marking the opening of his exhibit, will be held from 1 to 5 pm on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the gallery located at 140 West Main Street, and is free and the public is cordially invited. The exhibit, which will feature over 40 hanging images, will be on display through Monday, Dec. 16.
Anderson is a resident of Mathias.
