According to the Hardy County Health Department, a total of 541 people in Hardy, Grant and Hampshire counties were tested for COVID-19 on Saturday, June 13. E. A. Hawse Medical Center established testing sites in Mathias, Baker, Moorefield, Petersburg and Romney. The number of tests are as follows:
Hardy – 231
Romney – 193
Petersburg – 117
Test results will be available in three to five days.
The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reports as of 10:00 a.m., on June 15, 2020, there have been 131,875 total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 2,298 total cases and 88 deaths.
In alignment with updated definitions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the dashboard includes probable cases which are individuals that have symptoms and either serologic (antibody) or epidemiologic (e.g., a link to a confirmed case) evidence of disease, but no confirmatory test.

As case surveillance continues at the local health department level, it may reveal that those tested in a certain county may not be a resident of that county, or even the state as an individual in question may have crossed the state border to be tested.
