Isaac Hayes of Hurricane and Audrey Kerr of Bridgeport take top honors

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Callaway Junior Tour, sponsored by Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal and hosted by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), finished the 2023 season Monday at Parkersburg Country Club with a total field of 92 golfers aged 10 to 18.
Isaac Hayes of Hurricane, playing in the boys 13-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for boys, helped by scoring six birdies. Audrey Kerr of Bridgeport, playing in the girls 10-14 division, won the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Round of the Day for girls, aided by two birdies.
Other highlights of the day include five birdies each for Jude Walker of Mount Zion, Solas Chhin-Kreiner of Morgantown and Will Gruse of Charleston.
“We really enjoy hosting the Callaway Junior Tour, with it being founded by our longtime Head Pro Larry Martin. It was also fitting to hand out the Larry Martin Sportsman of the Year to one of our members and employees, Anna Earl.” Parkersburg’s Head PGA Professional Adam Chesnut.
“The regular season of my second year with the Tour ended today with perfect weather and scoring conditions,” said WVGA Tournament Manager – Youth Golf Lucas Ware. “Parkersburg Country Club is such a fitting venue to end the season.”
Division winners were:
- Boys 12 & under: Jude Walker of Mount Zion;
- Boys 13-14: Isaac Hayes of Hurricane;
- Boys 15-16: Will Gruse of Charleston;
- Boys 17-18: Caleb Young of Fairmont;
- Girls 10-14: Audrey Kerr of Bridgeport; and
- Girls 15-18: Savannah Hawkins of Hurrican.
