Diana Jeannette Harman, age 60 of Petersburg, WV, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2024, in Frederick County, VA as a result of an automobile accident. Born on September 25, 1964, in Petersburg, WV, she was a daughter of Patricia Ann Turley Gapp who passed away with her in the accident and the late Matthew Gipson Gapp. A brother-in-law, David Allen Mongold also preceded her in death.
Dina, as she was commonly known as, or Mrs. Harman to her students, taught school for 37 years, going on her 38th year for the Grant County Schools. She was a loving wife for 36 years, and a wonderful mother to her two sons. She also got to enjoy being Nana to her granddaughter Dana for eight months. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
To her friends and family, she was described as positive, energetic and caring to many students and colleagues. Diana was a graduate of Fairmont State University and received her master’s from Frostburg State University.
Surviving is her loving husband, Bobby Jack Harman; sons Trevor Dylan (wife Timisa) Harman of Petersburg, WV and Trad Austin (fiancé Amber) Harman of Charlottesville, VA; a precious granddaughter, Dana; sisters Connie (Mike) Thomas and Melanie Mongold of Moorefield, WV; several nephews and nieces.
A Joint Funeral Service for Diana and her mother will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Believers Victory Center, 160 Believers Lane, Moorefield, WV with Pastor P J Landis officiant. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at the church.
