Clayton Ray Montoya, age 62, of Lee Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, November 1, 2024, at this residence. Born on November 28, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of Blanche Louise Jones Baldwin of Prineville, OR and the late James Robel Montoya. Clayton was a lover of the great outdoors – embracing every moment camping, fishing, and searching for hidden treasures like mushrooms and arrowheads. His soul was uplifted by music, finding solace and joy attending concerts throughout his life. He was often the comedian in the room or will always be remembered by being the “life of the party”. He was very caring and had the biggest heart who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Surviving is a son, Justin Montoya of Fisher, WV; daughters, Jasmine Montoya of Moorefield, WV, Megan Snyder of Fisher, WV, Jenny Martin, Oakdale CA; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Aaron Montoya of Portland OR, Charles Montoya of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Montoya of Modesto, CA, Eugene Montoya of Ozark, MO, Cindy Holliday of Prineville, OR, Gudelia Montoya Knight of Sussex, England and Tia Montoya of Rio Communities, NM.
