Juanita Grace Riggleman, age 95 of Elm Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, November 19, 2024, at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born on October 14, 1929, in Cumberland, MD, Juanita was a loving daughter of the late Nelson Grady Bobo and Olive “Ollie” Blanche Sherman Bobo. She will be reunited with her beloved husband, Freeman Chester Riggleman, who went before her in January 1981. Sadly, she was also preceded in death by her grandson Ben Sites and her siblings Ralph Bobo, Keith Bobo, Regina Riggleman, and Shirley France.
Juanita’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and devotion. She found joy tending to her beautiful garden, nurturing plants and flowers, and relished in the simplicity of nature’s beauty. Her culinary skills were nothing short of legendary, with her hot rolls and red velvet cakes bringing delight to all who tasted them. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she generously cooked meals for veterans and actively contributed to the community through her involvement in the women’s circle at Duffey Memorial Church.
Children meant the world to Juanita, and she dedicated herself to their upbringing, volunteering extensively with the 4-H, school band, Bible school, and various activities. Her love knew no bounds, extending to her beach vacations, where she reveled in the freedom of swimming in the ocean. Juanita’s evenings were often spent swinging on the front porch, cherishing the peaceful moments of twilight.
Juanita will be remembered fondly by her four daughters; Elaine (Bill) Sites of Moorefield, WV, Pat Riggleman of Petersburg, WV, Debby Sherman of Fisher, WV and Ginger (Faron) Burcker of Moyock, NC; siblings, Bob Bobo of Fisher, WV, Norman Bobo of Temple, TX, Eleanor LaCombe of Lolo, MT and seven grandchildren.
