Last week, the Hardy County Courthouse hosted the swearing in of a new circuit judge, who in turn swore in several local officials.
Jeff Bowers, an attorney from Pendleton County swore in John Treadway as judge of the 26th Circuit. Bowers quipped “this was the only time and the last time that he’ll say what I want him to say.”
Judge Treadway then swore in Angie Dawson as Assistant Magistrate Clerk for Division I, Christy D. Miller as Assistant Magistrate Clerk for Division II, Craig Hose as Magistrate for Division I, William Keplinger Jr. as Magistrate for Division II, Dave Jopin as Surveyor of Hardy County, Jimmy Wratchford as Assessor of Hardy County, Loretta L. Humbertson as County Clerk of Hardy County, Stephen R. Dawson as Sheriff of Hardy County, David J. Workman as Hardy County Commissioner, and Jeffrey Weatherholt as Prosecuting Attorney for Hardy County.
