On Tuesday, February 4, six dedicated MHS students competed in what is believed to be the school’s first Social Studies Fair!
Each student selected a research topic, developed essential questions, and explored answers using primary and secondary sources. Their hard work culminated in detailed abstracts, creative display boards, and engaging speeches presented to a panel of judges. All work was completed outside of the school day, showcasing the students’ commitment to furthering their knowledge of their chosen topics.
After the fair, students and their advisors enjoyed a special lunch at Mullin’s 1847, generously sponsored by MHS Business Partner Pilgrim’s Pride. The day concluded with a fascinating tour of the Hardy County Historical Society Museum, guided by the wonderful David and Jane Jopling.
