Moorefield relief pitcher Aryana Hinz finished the game going four innings allowing two hits and making three strikeouts.
Petersburg pitcher Kimble went seven innings allowing seven hits with six walks and fours strikeouts, then Crites allowed the game winning home run.
The Yellow Jackets defense had a brilliant double play in the second inning with a catch and throw from left fielder Brenna See to first baseman Raleigh Kuykendall as the runner failed to tag up.
Moorefield grabbed a 2-nil edge in the second inning starting with Seanna Heavner drawing a walk and Carlee Haines singled into right field to put runners on the corners.
Haines distracted the Vikings dashing to second base as Heavner made a steal to home plate sliding in safely.
Haines kept charging on the base path during that same at bat of Annie Barr and would steal home for an 2-0 lead before Barr took a walk.
Petersburg got a double play and groundout to close the inning.
Quenlynn Cole hammered a two-run home run for the Vikings to tie the game in the third inning.
Petersburg took a 5-2 lead in the fourth inning as Markwell hit a double and scored on Kimble’s RBI groundout and Shyane Tawney plated DiBenedetto and Cole on a two-run producing double.
The YellowJackets responded to tie the game in the sixth inning 5-all.
Moorefield loaded the bases as Heavner reached base on an error, Haines doubled and Barr walked.
Kuykendall notched an RBI groundout before a single by See.

The game went into extra innings and the Vikings took a 6-5 lead in the eighth inning as Tawney hit an RBI single into center field.
Moorefield came back to win as See was hit by a pitch with one out before Bergdall obliterated the game-winning home run for the 7-6 final.
