Hardy County Schools announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

The Summer Food Service program is open to all children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate.

Meals will be served at the following open sites:

Moorefield Elementary School

400 N Main Street

Moorefield WV 26836

East Hardy Elementary School

238 Cougar Drive

Baker WV 26801

Meals will be provided at both locations from: 8 AM to 9:15 AM for breakfast, and 11 AM to 11:45 AM for lunch. Programs begin the week of July 7 through 10, and the week of July 14 through 17 for sites open to public. Programs will not be held on Fridays or on holidays.

Additionally-Meal Box delivery will again be available for Hardy County children.

Meal boxes will be delivered to homes for those students not attending day programs.  Sign up for meal boxes may be done by visiting the following website:https://forms.office.com/r/ynyZrFvR0A

Boxes will be mailed every two weeks for students not participating at schools with in-person programs.

NOTE: All students may sign up to receive meal boxes, but students participating at in-person sites may not also receive delivery of meal boxes during the weeks of the in person summer program listed above. They may still receive meal boxes all other weeks.

A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and remain active during the summer months. Remember, Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Vacation!

For more information about the Summer Food Service Program, please call Hardy County Schools at 304-530-2348.
