The late Charlotte Hill’s family, relatives, colleagues, former students and community members were in attendance for the ceremony.
Dennis Hill along with daughter Morgan See and her husband Josh and children Darah and Margo helped make this event special for the entire Moorefield High School community.
Charlotte Hill was nicknamed “Chill” and had a nickname for every person she met and that’s how she would call on folks throughout their time together.
Coach Hill was remembered for her faith, compassion, mentorship, the way she cared for her students, her passion for the school, wisdom and humor.
Mrs. Hill took extra time caring for her students making sure they had enough food and needs were met.
She wasn’t afraid to step in to stop a fight or even to end a basketball game at halftime to bring the team home if things weren’t going well.
Dennis Hill noted she tried to mentor all the students under her guidance and if something couldn’t be resolved at school, she would go home to pray and receive the wisdom to know how to make a resolution.
Mrs. Hill was always supporting the athletes as a coach and a fan, taking immense pride as a Yellow Jacket for life.
Her legacy will forever be remembered in the Hive and each future student will get to know her passion stepping on the floor of the Charlotte Hill Memorial Gymnasium.
