Susie Ann (Sites) Wilt, 83, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She was born August 1, 1941 in Medley, WV, a daughter of the late Lonzie Raymond Sites and Pearl Blanche Smith Sites.

“Sue” graduated from Keyser High School and was a homemaker for the first part of her adult life. When her sons were older, she held jobs at the Island Nursery Kindergarten and Diane’s Hallmark in Buckhannon until retirement.

Family was most important to Sue, be it her own or “her kids from school.” She was always first to offer a helping hand to those in need and first to take pride in the accomplishments of her family and the people in the community she loved. She enjoyed word puzzles, gardening, board games, and baking with her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by two sons, Mark Wilt of Old Fields, WV, and Brian Wilt (Lori) of Ashland, KY; two grandchildren, Aaron Wilt, and Dr. Ali Wilt, MD (Braden); five siblings, Wanda Carr (Kenny), Irene Dolly, Patty Shockey, Roger Sites (Arvella), and Betty Inskeep; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Colonel William Inskeep II.

There are also countless friends and neighbors who have touched Sue’s life throughout the years.

Private Graveside Services will be held in the Lahmansville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. To offer condolences, share memories, or upload photos in honor of Sue’s extraordinary life, visit her Tribute Wall at www.fraleyfuneralhome.com and celebrate the impact she made on all those around her.
