To increase awareness of the hazards of intoxicated driving, members of the West Virginia State Police will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint in Grant County, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6:00PM through 12:00PM.
The Sobriety Checkpoint will be conducted in Grant County on U.S. Rt. 220, in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue, near West Virginia Outdoor Power lnc., in Petersburg, WV. The secondary location will be in Hardy County on U.S. Rt. 220, at the overpass of U.S. Route 48, near Weimer Chrysler Dodge in Moorefield, WV.
