Norma Remona (Whiteman) Westfall, age 87 of Upper Tract, WV passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Norma was born on February 11, 1937 in Purgitsville, WV and was a daughter of Philip Rosser Whiteman and Carrie Elizabeth (Shoemaker) Whiteman.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence W. Westfall in 2016; a grandson, Samuel Clay Keiter; five brothers, Charles, Gene, Orville, Marvin and Loyd Whiteman and one sister, Irene Dolly.
Norma is survived by one daughter, Beverly Keiter and husband Barry of Upper Tract, WV; two grandchildren, Jessica Keiter and Gabriel Keiter; seven great grandchildren, Aubree Keiter, Joe Boucher and Cyrus Adkins, Grayson Hugh Gilbert, Sawyer Gilbert, Mason and Lucas Difalco; two great-great grandchildren, Ember Allen and Grayson Boucher; sister, Juanita Wratchford of Aberdeen, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was a 1953 graduate of Romney High School. She worked for Romney Shoe Factory for several years and later did auto detailing work for the late Johnny Halterman in Moorefield. Norma was a member of the Moorefield American Legion 64 Auxiliary. Norma also enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and especially at the family’s campsite.
In Honoring Norma’s wishes, her body will be cremated and a Memorial service will be conducted on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor Bill Johnson officiating.
Norma’s family will receive friends one hour before service.
